Annie Palmer is a licensed REALTOR® in Louisiana, as well as a fully licensed CPA. She is a New Orleans native, who has a deep appreciation for the historic landscape and culture that her hometown has to offer. Annie’s professional background in accounting complements her real estate career, as she is always seeking to add value and expertise for her clients.
Prior to real estate, Annie attended Louisiana State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, with a minor in Economics. She then went on to earn a Master of Science in Accounting, with a concentration in Taxation, also from LSU. Immediately following graduation, Annie moved to Houston where she began her accounting career with big four accounting firm, Ernst & Young, in their taxation department. Annie worked and interacted with multi-million dollar clients on their tax return preparations, tax audits, and research & development credits. Annie was called home in 2016 to work in private industry as the Controller for a local company. As Controller, Annie was exposed to various real estate related transactions including historic tax credits and restoration tax abatements. Annie’s client serving experience and financial acumen allow her to provide a unique and exceptional level of service to her clients.
Outside of work, Annie enjoys renovating and restoring her Carrollton shotgun double with her husband, Matt. They share the small living quarters with their loving dog, Gayle. Annie remains active in the community, and currently serves as the Recording Secretary and Co-Chair of the Spring Gathering for her alma mater, Ursuline Academy Alumnae Association.
